Growing together
The Fondo has grown in every measured category while protecting the welcoming character that makes the day special.
48 more registrations than 2024.
Rider reach
Nearly one-third of registrations came from outside Prince George.
The future of cycling
In 2026, the Kris Yip Memorial Foundation launched its Junior Cyclist Grant Program, awarding two $500 grants to Northern British Columbia athletes Jenna Foreman and Liam Beedle.
The grants recognize more than results. They celebrate perseverance, sportsmanship, kindness, leadership and contribution to cycling communities.

Heart health remains central to the Fondo’s purpose. Kris’s story helps raise awareness of coronary artery disease, including risks faced by athletes and physically active people who may not consider themselves at risk.
Participant experience
Every kilometre is powered by people.
Looking ahead
Clearer education and expectations will support safe, respectful participation and reinforce the rules of the road.
High-risk turns, course marshalling, rider briefings and participant accountability will receive additional attention.
Expanded finish-line activities and meaningful sponsor activations are being explored for riders, families and supporters.
The Foundation will continue exploring ways to expand opportunities for young riders and developing athletes.
